Nepali Community of Greater Richmond, Virginia (NCRVA) is raising funds to collectively support those impacted by the devastating flash floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and neighboring districts of Nepal on August 26.
Over 1,200 people have lost their lives, and more than 4,000 remain missing (as of September 3). Families have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods, while bridges, roads, and other critical infrastructure have been washed away.
Funds collected will be donated to Nepal's official collection site for foreign donations.
NCRVA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
As an organization, NCRVA is committing $1,000 to support rescue, relief, and recovery efforts for those affected by this devastating disaster.
